This seven-year-old son of Lucky Speed has plenty of age about him now, but he's a big imposing horse who clearly took plenty of time to grow into his frame and previous connections were happy to give him plenty of time and hopefully that will stand to him going forward.
He has three smart bumper runs in the book in very competitive races and this looks a really good opportunity for him to get his head in front. I'd be very hopeful that the track and the ground should be ok for him, and a reproduction of his run last time would make him very difficult to beat here.
This son of La Harve has been a long time in the wilderness since gaining his only win of his career to date on the flat in 2022 at Cork, but he's really turned a corner since coming into the care of Ian Donoghue and his last two runs he's shown a win isn't far away.
He's in rude health in himself and stormed home last time at Wexford to only just fail to reel in Mercury Mission who went in again off 6lbs higher at Limerick on Thursday. This looks a weaker race than either of his last two runs and he should take a hell of a lot of beating.
This is a horse with plenty ability to win a race of this nature but has yet to get his head in front. Formerly with Alan King he made a solid stable debut for John McConnell last August in Wexford when he found just one too good off a mark of 95. He's had a couple of disappointing runs off a couple of pounds higher since, but he's back down to that mark again with Rob James on board to take off a very valuable 7lbs here.
He has a run under his belt at Limerick 11 days ago when he ran a decent race, and the winner has come out and won again off a 10lb higher mark. The yard seems to be finally running into a bit of form after a slow 18 months and this might be the time to catch this lad at a bit of a price. He looks a decent each way bet, and he could scoop a lot.
