Weekend 7/2 Treble | Jack Wright
Birmingham City sit second in the table, level on points with leaders Wycombe but with a game in hand. The Blues have been formidable at home, winning each of their last five league games at St. Andrew's and scoring 12 goals while conceding just five. With the team already being linked with a host of talent from higher tiers in the January transfer window, and CopyBet offering odds of 2/7 for them to win the League One title, their strength at this level is clear.
In contrast, Northampton Town are struggling in 18th place, four points off the relegation zone. The Cobblers have only managed to win one of their six league away games so far, including a 4-1 thrashing at the hands of third-placed Wrexham. Given Birmingham's impressive home form and Northampton's difficulties on the road, the home side should be confident of picking up all three points.
Wycombe Wanderers have been in sensational form of late, winning six games on the spin across all competitions, including eight victories in their last nine league outings. Matt Bloomfield's side have been rewarded with a place at the top of the League One table, leapfrogging Birmingham City after an impressive 5-0 victory at Stockport in midweek.
The Chairboys appear to have unearthed a gem in 21-year-old striker Richard Kone, who is now the second-top scorer in the third tier with eight goals. Meanwhile, their upcoming opponents, Wigan Athletic, are struggling in 19th place and have scored the fewest home goals in the division with just five in their opening six fixtures at the Brick Community Stadium. Wycombe should be able to continue their winning run against the out-of-form Latics.
Aberdeen have been nothing short of sensational under new manager Jimmy Thelin, winning 15 of their 17 fixtures so far this season. Despite a first defeat coming in the form of a 6-0 thrashing at the hands of Celtic in the League Cup semi-final last Saturday, the Dons remain undefeated in the Scottish Premiership and will be keen to bounce back and reclaim top spot in the table.
The Reds' most recent encounter with Dundee resulted in a 2-1 victory at Dens Park in September, and they will be confident of a similar outcome at Pittodrie, where they have won all 10 of their competitive fixtures this season, scoring 26 goals and conceding just six. Dundee, on the other hand, sit 6th in the table but are 16 points adrift of Aberdeen and only 4 points off the foot of the table. The Dons should be able to maintain their perfect home record and secure all three points.
