Value Bet Spotter’s EURO 2024 Predictions

At this stage, it's almost impossible to look beyond England. They're favourites for a reason. England arguably has the strongest starting XI in the tournament - with Bellingham, Foden, Kane, Saka and Palmer all having an outstanding 2024. England's group also presents an outstanding opportunity to finish top and advance to the knockout stages without too much stress.

At this stage, England go into the tournament with one of the strongest squads in the tournament if all players stay injury free.

One team going very much under the radar is Belgium. Just looking at their group stage draw should be enough to get the Belgians hoping for a deep run in the tournament.

Belgium are big favourites to win their group - with just Romania, Slovakia and Ukraine to get past to advance to the knockouts. As we've seen, any team with Kevin De Bruyne in has a chance to win major trophies. Add to that the form of Leandro Trossard for Arsenal and Jeremy Doku for Manchester City in 2024, you have three players there who can make a huge difference. If Romelu Lukaku can recapture some of his former international form too, Belgium could be a serious force to be reckoned with at Euro 2024.

With an outstanding personal season in the Bundesliga under his belt, Harry Kane goes into the Euros with a seriously strong record - and an international tournament Golden Boot already in his trophy cabinet. With group stage games against the likes of Serbia, Denmark and Slovenia, England should rack up a lot of goal - with Kane being the key attacking threat.

A goal vs Bosnia in a short cameo also puts him in a strong position to bring home another Golden Boot.

Coinciding with our choice for the dark horses, we expect Bruno Fernandes to be a massive player in the tournament. He takes set pieces for Portugal and goes into the tournament off the back of winning the FA Cup - a game in which he got a crucial assist for the winner.

What I love about this bet is that he achieved three assists for Portugal in the last World Cup despite just 371 minutes played. Had Portugal gotten past Morocco in the Round of 16, Fernandes would likely have taken the crown of most assists in the World Cup - we expect him to go one further this time at very favourable odds.

All eyes will be on Jude Bellingham in the Euros, and, if England win - we expect Bellingham to be the star of the show. It was a toss-up between Kane and Bellingham, but the top scorer of the Euros has only won player of the tournament once in the last seven attempts (Griezmann in 2016).

Instead, we think that most eyes will be on Champions League hero Bellingham - he has already established himself as a huge player in the England setup and we expect another superb showing from one of the most exciting talents in Europe.

Bellingham is huge favourite for Young Player of the Tournament - however, if England do go on to win the Euros as we have predicted, we believe he goes one further and wins the main award. This opens the door for Florian Wirtz, who, after an unbelievable season with Bayer Leverkusen, has the opportunity to set the tournament alight in a German side that is crying out for a new golden boy.

Alongside the likes of Toni Kroos, Jamal Musiala and Ilkay Gundogan, expect Wirtz to be a crucial player in a German side that have been dealt a useful group - facing Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland respectively.
