Value Bet Spotter’s 2024/25 Season Predictions

Premier League Winner – Manchester City

Despite a strong challenge from Arsenal last season, Manchester City made it four title wins in a row, solidifying Pep Guardiola's dynasty. It's tough to look beyond them again this season.

City missed Kevin De Bruyne for almost the entirety of the first half of the season but still managed to have enough creativity and firepower from an abundance of squad depth to clinch the title. De Bruyne is back fit and ready to go this season. Expect them to just be simply too strong again this season.

Premier League Top Goalscorer – Erling Haaland

It's almost impossible to overlook Erling Haaland yet again here. His goalscoring record since joining Manchester City has been incredible. He finished five goals clear of second place last season and six goals clear the season before.

City have the added benefit of Haaland also being fresher than most goalscoring rivals going into the season as Norway failed to qualify for Euro 2024. Haaland hit a hat-trick vs Chelsea in pre-season and that looks to be a sign of things to come for him.

Champions League Winner – Real Madrid

This one is tougher to predict. However, with the addition of Kylian Mbappe to an already outstanding attacking lineup, Real Madrid should be a devastating force in this season's Champions League. Madrid will seek to make it three wins in four attempts under Ancelotti, who just loves the Champions League.

Manchester City and Arsenal will be close competitors, but the key experience of serial winners among the Real Madrid squad will likely just be too strong for the rest of the competition.

FA Cup Winner – Arsenal

Arsenal have a squad and a performance level that is reaching a standard where it seems to be a case of when, not if, they next win a major trophy. They were extremely unlucky to draw an in-form Liverpool side in the FA Cup third round last season and were arguably the better team until Jakob Kiwior's unfortunate own goal saw them depart the competition.

This year, with a bit more luck in the draw, and with more experience, we feel Arsenal could be very much in contention to go deep in the FA Cup.

Top Four Finish – Tottenham

It's a toss-up for the fourth position. We've gone with Spurs - some exciting signings so far and the potential addition of a proven goal scorer in the market could be the huge difference for Spurs this season.

We feel that top four may be just out of reach for West Ham, but never say never, they've had a superb summer window up to now and could be a great value punt to make the top six.

To Be Relegated – Nottingham Forest

Finally, we expect it to be a step too far for Nottingham Forest this season. A seemingly underwhelming transfer window thus far for Forest, with the £35million spent on Elliott Anderson from Newcastle being the only major business for the club - a signing that has left some Forest fans scratching their heads.

This could be a tough season for the team who finished 17th in the league last campaign. Forest must do everything they can to keep the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White and Callum Hudson-Odoi fit and firing and keep admiring clubs at bay before the end of the transfer window.
