Punchestown – JUMP THE SHARK

BET NOW

This son of Walk In The Park has been a slow burner in his career thus far but hopefully having broken his maiden last time at Downpatrick where having looked in trouble jumping the last, he came back on the bridle up the run in to win snug enough at the line. An eight pound rise looks more than fair, and I expect he can go in again!

NEXT BEST:

Punchestown – PASSENGER

BET NOW

This son of Invincible Spirit was a 180k foal and has a nice flat pedigree. He will love the ground and was heavily punted before coming out as a late non-runner in a festival bumper at this track. He hails from the Dermot Weld yard which has been in good form of late and I'm led to believe he has run in and won a schooling bumper a few months back which could well be significant. I'll be disappointed if he can't go close.

LONG SHOT:

Punchestown – LUMMI ISLAND

BET NOW

This horse has had seven starts under rules to date four in bumpers and three over hurdles and ran with credit on each occasion. His best run arguably came in a bumper in Killarney when just 13 lengths behind Toto Too who is now rated 132 over hurdles.

He is running here off a mark of 94 which I believe is very fair on his first run a handicap and having mixed it from two miles to three miles so far in maidens he comes here with a real chance of stepping forward. I think he makes great appeal as a bet at what I suspect will be a double figure price.
