As a horse who is probably underachiever in his career to date, he has been stepping up his form this season with each run over fences. He's a big scopey son of Spanish Moon who looks made for chasing and a mark of 125 looks very fair to me.

Jody Townend is generally a good booking in these races and with a good 3rd last time behind Senior Chief I'd be very hopeful he should take a lot of stopping on handicap debut in a weak race.

A horse with a big reputation who had disappointed a few times on the track in the past, but he made no mistake at Naas a few weeks ago when breaking his maiden in no uncertain fashion when he made all. Now his jumping was scrappy at times when he went clear he probably just wasn't concentrating so much getting in tight to a few up the straight, but he clearly has a massive engine.

With a big pot on offer and a mark of 131 looking generous he looks like he will take a lot of stopping if he can get in a clear round of jumping.

She won this race 12 months ago as a 4yo and though now off a 7lb higher mark now she gets Aidan Kelly taking off a very valuable 5lbs so in theory at least runs off just 2lbs higher. She's a year stronger too now and is on the improve. She has had a few more than decent runs already this season culminating in a very solid 8th in the County Hurdle at Cheltenham last time.

If this doesn't come too soon and with Aidan Kelly's 5lb claim I think this mare could be primed to strike again and hopefully might be a bit of a price to do so!
