Shay's Prediction: Northern Ireland 2-0 Luxembourg

Back Northern Ireland to win

I fancy Northern Ireland to get a good result here, especially at home. They're facing a Luxembourg side that haven't scored in any of their last three away games, let alone win them.

Northern Ireland have won their last two matches and should be too strong for their opponents in this one.

Shay's Prediction: Wales 2-2 Turkey

This is Craig Bellamy's first game in charge of Wales and as one of my old teammates from Newcastle, I wish him well.

But I think this is a tough start for him. Turkey did really well in the Euros and have some very exciting young players, particularly in the wide areas.

So if Wales can get a draw out of this one I'd see that as a promising start under Bellamy and something they can build on throughout this Nations League campaign.

Shay's Prediction: Republic of Ireland 1-1 England

This is one I'm really looking forward to and with two new managers in charge it'll be very interesting to see how the teams line up.

England are strong favourites and understandably so. But my heart is telling me that with the new man in charge, Heimir Hallgrimsson, Ireland might just sneak a result and get an important point from this one.

Shay's Prediction: Scotland 2-0 Poland

Back Scotland to win

Scotland being at home for this one will obviously be a big advantage but they had a disappointing Euros truth be told and they'll want to put that right as quickly as they can.

It seems bizarre to say it about the first fixture in the group but with Portugal and Croatia future opponents, this almost feels like a must win game for the Scots.

And I think they will win it. It won't be straightforward because Poland are a good, experienced side, but it's a home win for me.
