Shay Given's Premier League Predictions

Ahead of another massive weekend in the Premier League, we've asked CopyBet brand ambassador and former Republic of Ireland goalkeeping legend, Shay Given, to give us his predictions for four key games.

Here are Shay's selections which when combined into one accumulator would return at 40/1!

Shay's Prediction: Brighton 1-2 Chelsea

Back a Chelsea win

These two sides obviously played each other in the FA Cup last week and Brighton knocked them out. I actually fancied Chelsea to win that one and I still fancy them to win this league clash too.

I'm not sure why but that FA Cup result hasn't changed my mind and I'm backing Enzo Maresca's side to reverse the scoreline from last week and win this one 2-1.

Shay's Prediction: Leicester City 0-2 Arsenal

Back an Arsenal win

Arsenal suffered a blow in midweek with the news that Kai Havertz is out for the rest of the season with a hamstring injury. That's not the news Mikel Arteta would have wanted but for this weekend's fixture I think the Gunners will still take all three points.

Leicester are in a bad spot at the moment and Arsenal still have the likes of Martin Odegaard and Leandro Trossard who can cause the Foxes all sorts of problems. They also have kept a clean sheet in about 20 games which is very worrying!

Shay's Prediction: Manchester City 1-2 Newcastle United

Back a Newcastle win

The Shay Given derby! Two of my former clubs going head to head and this one is a really difficult one to call.

City come into it in between two huge knockout games against Real Madrid. The first leg of which they lost last week, so they'll definitely have one eye on the return game in Spain next week.

So I see this as a good time for Newcastle to be playing them. The Toon are in a rich vein of form and I think this is probably their best chance of getting a result at the Etihad Stadium as they've had in a long time.

Shay's Prediction: Tottenham 2-2 Manchester United

Back a draw

Two teams who are struggling this season and both in need of a win to start climbing up the table.

Spurs are still missing a few key players although Ange Postecoglue is able to welcome back one or two this week by the sounds of things, with Vicario and James Maddison back in training.

Ruben Amorin is still having problems finding his best starting eleven which obviously isn't ideal either. So with that in mind I can see this one being a draw. Both teams are struggling to keep clean sheets so I think it'll be an entertaining score draw.
