Shay Given's Premier League Predictions
Shay Given's Premier League Predictions
Here are Shay's four selections which when combined into one accumulator would return at odds of 11/1.
Great result for both clubs last time out. Nottingham Forest going to Old Trafford and getting all three points was brilliant for them. And then Aston Villa had a fantastic victory away against RB Leipzig in the Champions League in midweek.
But on the basis that Forest have had a few more days rest and Villa had that midweek trip to Germany, I'm going to go for a home victory and for Forest to back up their success at Man United with another good win here.
This feels like the first Manchester derby in a long time that even though it's being played at the Etihad Stadium, is difficult to call.
Both teams are struggling at the moment. United have been getting a win or two here and there but really not finding any consistency and City's problems have been well documented. So it'll be interesting to see what happens on Sunday.
I think this will be a close game but it could be the type of fixture that stirs City back into some form.
Southampton have become a bit cut adrift at the bottom of the table now and it's worrying times for Saints fans. Russell Martin is sticking to his principles and you have to admire that but things have been difficult for them.
Tottenham are hit and miss themselves at the moment, one week winning big at Manchester City and the next losing at Bournemouth. So you can never be sure which Spurs will show up. But if they perform like we know they can, this should be an away win.
Bournemouth are having a great season and Areola has done an unbelievable job.
This is going to be another difficult away trip for the Hammers, especially considering how good the Cherries have been at home where they've already beaten Manchester City, Arsenal and Spurs.
I can't see anything other than a home win here and a comfortable one at that.
