Shay Given's Premier League Predictions

The Premier League returns after the international break and there are some huge fixtures to look forward to, including the first North London derby of the campaign.

As always, we've challenged CopyBet brand ambassador Shay Given to share his predictions for four of the biggest matches and this week his accumulator bet would return at odds of a massive 48/1 ACCA.

Shay's Prediction: Southampton 0-2 Manchester United

Back Man United to win

This is the early kick-off on the Saturday and it's between two teams that have had poor starts to the season.

Things are still not quite right at Manchester United under Erik ten Hag but I reckon they will have just about enough to get the win at St Mary's. They've not lost to Southampton in the last 15 games and with the Saints struggling for goals, I've got this down as an away win.

Shay's Prediction: Bournemouth 2-2 Chelsea

Both of these teams have started the season ok and this should be an entertaining game on Saturday night.

Bournemouth away has become a difficult game and I don't see Chelsea having it all their own way on the South coast. I'll go for a score draw.

Shay's Prediction: Tottenham 1-1 Arsenal

The North London derby is always a brilliant match and Tottenham might well fancy their chances coming into this one, with Declan Rice suspended and Martin Odegaard picking up that injury during the week.

Home advantage will definitely be a factor in this one but I still think Arsenal will avoid defeat. There's a strong mentality in the squad and I can see them digging in and getting a result.

Shay's Prediction: Wolverhampton 1-2 Newcastle United

Back Newcastle to win

Newcastle's away form last season wasn't great but they are sat on seven points from their opening three matches in this campaign and that's a decent return, especially considering they maybe haven't been at their best in any of the games.

Wolves have struggled a bit already and I think they had a disappointing transfer window. I can see it being a difficult season for them and I think Newcastle will have too much for them on Sunday.
