Poland have experienced an upturn in form since ditching Fernando Santos for Michal Probierz. They are unbeaten under the new boss and have scored in seven of their eight matches. The Poles are the outsiders in this clash but they have proven themselves to be a potent attacking force. Over 2.5 goals has won in both of their warmup matches and they will look to take the game to the Dutch here.

The Netherlands were dealt a major blow with the injury to Frenkie De Jong. The Barcelona midfielder helps his team control the game so we should see more chaos in his absence. In qualifying, Koeman’s side’s matches saw an average of three goals per game. Their recent friendlies have also seen a glut of goals. This bet has won in their last five games and there has been an average of 4.2 goals over that period.

Belgium are looking to put their woeful World Cup campaign behind them by going deep into Euro 2024. The golden generation may have passed but Domenico Tedesco has the Red Devils playing some marvellous football. They scored an average of 2.75 goals as they finished above Austria in qualifying. Their matches saw an average of 3.25 goals overall.

Slovakia thumped Wales 4-0 in their final warm-up game. They are undoubtedly the underdogs for this fixture but are capable of finding the net and helping our bet land. Their qualifying matches saw an average of 2.5 goals but those numbers ramped up in their more recent competitive games. This bet won in four of their last five qualifiers with an average of 3.6 goals.

France’s qualifying matches saw an average of four goals per game, only Gibraltar’s saw more. Didier Deschamps’ side contributed with 3.62 of those goals, which made them the highest-scoring side in qualifying. There have been three goals or more in six of their last nine competitive matches and they face a very capable Austria side in their opening game of Euro 2024.

Ralf Rangnick has transformed the Austrian national team. His commitment to pressing high up the field has made them difficult to play against but it could also leave space for France to exploit here. Austria’s competitive matches under the former Manchester United boss have seen an average of 2.86 goals per game.

Portugal are amongst the frontrunners to win the tournament and that is partly due to their attack. Roberto Martinez has plenty of options available to him and the competition for places means late goals from players coming off the bench are likely. A Selecao scored an average of 3.6 goals per game during qualifying.

They face a Czech Republic side that are enjoying a run of five straight wins. Those matches have seen an average of four goals and we can expect to see the net rustle a few times here. These teams last went head-to-head in September 2022. Portugal won 4-0 on that occasion.
