Nottingham Forest can secure their place in the Premier League for next season this weekend but Chelsea stand in their way. They beat Sheffield United 3-1 on the road in their last match. It’s been a difficult season for Forest with their six-point deduction but the end is almost in sight.

Chelsea can salvage a place in Europe thanks to the recent resurgence. They have shot up the table but a lot of their good work has been done at Stamford Bridge. Mauricio Pochettino’s side have failed to win any of their last five away matches.

Forest’s league matches at the City Ground under Nuno Espirito Santo have seen an average of 3.1 goals per game. Both teams have scored in seven of those 10 matches and I expect goals here.

Chelsea are struggling to keep clean sheets on the road this season. They haven’t shut the opposition out in any of their last 14 Premier League away matches. Those games have seen an average of four goals and both teams have scored in 12 of them.

Newcastle are 6th in the Premier League having won five of their last seven matches. Alexander Isak’s form has helped them climb into the European places but they face a stern test this weekend.

Brighton have struggled for consistency in this campaign but they will take confidence from their strong display in the 1-0 win over Aston Villa in their last match. Roberto De Zerbi will be keen to ensure his team put their best foot forward once again.

Eddie Howe’s sides’ matches have seen the most goals in the Premier League this season with an average of 3.83 per game. 2.23 of those goals have been scored by Newcastle.

The Seagulls’ matches haven’t been quite as goal friendly but recent meetings with Newcastle have shown promise. The reverse fixture ended 3-1 to Brighton. De Zerbi’s men were beaten 4-1 when they visited this ground last season.

Very few Manchester United supporters harbour hopes of their team winning this one. They have been outplayed in the vast majority of their matches since the turn of the year and they face a mighty Arsenal side on Sunday.

The Gunners are top of the league going into the weekend. They need to win and hope Manchester City drop points in the remaining matches to get their hands on the Premier League trophy.

Manchester United have scored in their last eight league matches at Old Trafford. Both teams have scored in seven of those and there has been an average of 3.63 goals. It’s inconceivable that Erik Ten Hag’s side will keep a clean sheet here given their defensive woes so let’s hope they can get on the scoresheet.

Arsenal are the second-highest-scoring side in the league this season with an average of 2.44 goals per game. They are averaging 2.90 goals in their last 10 Premier League away matches. Both teams have scored in nine of Arsenal’s last 10 games at Old Trafford.
