The bookmakers are predicting that Everton will be battling against relegation yet again this season. The loss of Amadou Onana in midfield is sure to be hard felt at Everton, but it’s also been a summer of change for Brighton. Roberto De Zerbi, who had proven to be hugely popular during his tenure, has been replaced by Fabian Hurzeler.

The 31-year-old arrives with a sterling reputation and there is reason to be optimistic if you’re a Seagulls fan.

Everton matches ranked as the lowest scoring in the Premier League last season but their clashes with the Seagulls have been goal friendly. Both teams have scored in the last five meetings between these sides. There has been an average of four goals per game over that period with both teams scoring 10 goals across the five encounters. Moreover, the Toffees have found the net in their last eight league games at Goodison Park.

Brighton’s matches last season saw an average of 3.08 goals. Both teams scored in their opening seven away games of the campaign, and we should see a fast-attacking start under the new boss.

Julen Lopetegui has replaced David Moyes as the West Ham boss, and they have spent heavily in the summer transfer window so far. The Hammers are aiming to slug it out for a place in Europe.

Aston Villa are another side that have invested in their playing squad this summer. Unai Emery knows he needs a big squad to deal with the rigours of the Champions League alongside the domestic season so don’t expect Villa’s attacking play to suffer.

David Moyes faced criticism from the fans for what was perceived as a cautious approach last season, but the Hammers failed to score in just four of their 19 league matches at the London Stadium. Those games saw 3.11 goals on average and both teams scored in six of the last seven.

Unai Emery’s side scored an average of two goals per game in the Premier League last season. This dropped to 1.47 goals per game when playing away from home, but those matches did see an average of 3.21 goals.

AC Milan have turned to Paulo Fonseca in a bid to change their brand of football. The former Lille manager is looking to turn the team into one that is able to dominate games and attack with real venom.

They face a stern test in the form of Torino in their first game. Il Toro beat the Rossoneri the last time the teams squared off and this Saturday night clash promises to be an intriguing affair.

Last season, the Rossoneri’s matches in Serie A saw an average of 3.29 goals per game, more than any other side and well above the league average of 2.61. They averaged two goals per game in front of their own fans at the San Siro. Both teams have scored in four of their five pre-season matches and we look set for a glut of goals here.

Torino were beaten 4-1 the last time they travelled to face AC Milan. This bet won in both meetings between the sides last season and those matches saw an average of 4.5 goals.
