Leicester earned a point in their last home game against Tottenham, and it is that point that has them sitting just outside the relegation zone at these early stages.

Aston Villa succumbed to a 2-0 home defeat against Arsenal last weekend. Unai Emery’s side squandered a couple of chances to take the lead before Leandro Trossard eventually opened the scoring for the Gunners.

The Foxes were toothless in the first half of their first game against Tottenham but showed they have the quality to cause problems for Tottenham’s high defensive line after the break as they created two big chances and amassed an xG of 0.98.

Unai Emery’s side are still awaiting their first clean sheet of the season. They beat West Ham 2-1 in their last away game, but the Hammers ended the game with a superior xG to Villa. Both teams have also scored in four of the last five meetings between Leicester and Aston Villa so let’s hope for another end-to-end affair.

Napoli vs Parma

Napoli lost their opening game away in Verona 3-0, but they bounced back with an impressive 3-0 win over Bologna in their last match. Antonio Conte has a big job on his hands if he wants to turn the team into title challengers once again, but he certainly has the credentials.

Parma won the second division last season and have started the season well. They followed up a draw with Fiorentina in their first game with a huge victory over AC Milan. Fabio Pecchia’s side are now sitting pretty in 5th place and should show plenty of fight in Naples.

Napoli conceded an average of 1.26 goals per game in Serie A and it could take some time to amend those issues. They also afforded Bologna a golden opportunity to score despite a much-improved performance.

Parma have shown no fear thus far. Both teams to score also won in their opening game against Fiorentina with Raffaele Palladino’s team needing a 75thminute goal to salvage a draw.

Bayern Munich vs Freiburg

Bayern Munich made a winning start to life under Vincent Kompany as they attempt to wrestle the Bundesliga title from Bayer Leverkusen’s grasp this season.

Freiburg also got off to the perfect start as they beat Stuttgart 3-1. Julain Schuster’s side will be hopeful of causing an upset at the Allianz Arena on Sunday.

There was an average of 3.33 goals in the Bundesliga’s opening weekend of matches. Five goals were scored as Bayern Munich beat Wolfsburg. Kompany’s team looked lethal going forward but there were some concerns defensively. Opta credited the home side with creating four big chances so Freiburg will look to trouble Kompany’s defence. Bayern scored the most goals in the Bundesliga last season with an average of 2.76 goals per game, but they also conceded an average of 1.32.

Freiburg averaged just 1.32 goals per game in the last campaign, but they looked dangerous in the win over Stuttgart. Freiburg earned a 2-2 draw the last time they faced Bayern.
