Authorized Art is very interesting having switched to Gary and Josh Moore at the start of the season. He started life with the Moore’s with a fantastic effort in finishing third in a listed hurdle at Kempton over a trip far too short, and you can forgive him his latest effort over the National fences which he clearly didn’t enjoy.
Steps back up to three miles here off a very decent mark judged on his Irish form for Willie Mullins and 4lb below that season debut mark with much more in his favour here.
Hopefully this Tingle Creek will not see many non-runners before the start with it looking particularly strong race at the moment and with three places on offer to boot. Boothill catches the eye at the prices on his second start after a breathing op after making Jonbon walk for his win last time out at Cheltenham.
That was a solid return after a 202-day break and after a rough end to the season last year with two falls halting a very exciting start. Plenty of excuses in the Celebration Chase on the back of those two falls and with the wind surgery following soon after. Expect a much better showing here.
It’s interesting Zambezi Fix comes here as he’s run well here twice before, finishing second both times off higher marks. He had a consistently good season last year mixing hurdles and chases and returned this season after a 211-day break and clearly needed the run here.
Kept on well last time at Kempton and will love the forecast rain and ground here. Has a big swing in the weights with the favourite to go a lot closer here.
