He won this race last year and beat the re-opposing L’Homme Presse with ease, although L’Homme Presse is more on the button this season, and in better form, I think this is Pic D’orhy’s track, and race to lose. He is an Ascot specialist, winning five times here, including at the CopyBet November Racing Weekend in the Copybet 1965 Chase.

He has his old rival to beat, plus the younger legged challenger of Corbetts Cross, but he’s not shown up yet this season. I think this is Pic D’orhy’s “Gold Cup” as they say and can return the victor for a second year in a row.
