A winner at this meeting last season in the Group Two Coventry stakes before finishing a close-up third in a pair of Group One’s at the end of last season. That is a strong level of form not to mention running Rosallion to a length and a half in the Irish 2000 Guineas a few weeks ago at the Curragh when he was conceding race fitness on his first start of the season.

He will strip much fitter here and I can't see him beaten. The price is a gift and I suspect he will go off 11/10 if not Evens.

An admirable old stayer now this horse has had a few big days in the past in flat handicaps including when winning the 2022 Cesarewitch at Newmarket. I felt last season he was an unlucky lover in this race when in receipt of a poor ride on the day and I fancy him to go very close again this time around.

He's only 3lbs higher now than he was this time last year and Guyon is a notable jockey booking. He's a strong traveller who loves quick ground and I can see him making his presence felt.

This horse has been keeping good company this season finishing fourth behind Haatem in the Craven who was second in both the English and Irish 2000 Guineas subsequently. He then took a step up in trip for the Dante when he again finished fourth behind the ultra-impressive Economics.

He drops into a handicap here for the first time off a mark of 100 which looks very fair to me, and I think he can have a major say back in this sort of company. He will find things much easier here and I think he looks like he could be thrown in. At a double figure price which he is at the moment he looks a proper each way bet.
