This son of Kayf Tara is a horse of immense ability. He ran away with his rider on more than a few occasions last season in bumpers and did remarkably well to win twice when almost un steerable. On the other occasion, he finished third in a very decent race in Naas where it was actually a miracle that he finished as close as he did.
He's a big scope individual with a high cruising speed but also plenty stamina and I can see him leading his rivals a merry dance here and it will take a good one to outgun him I'm the straight. Hopefully jumping obstacles will help him settle and if it does, he will be a match for any novice in training. He's a Grade One horse in the making.
Bob returned to something like his best last season, and he excelled over two and a half miles in particular. He won this race last season before going on to win the Relkeel at Cheltenham. He then finished second at Leopardstown in the Irish Champion Hurdle before heading to Aintree where he was beat a whisker by Impaire Et Passe having suffered interference a couple of times in the straight.
He goes well fresh, and Henry De Broomhead's team are in flying form. I find it difficult to see him getting beaten here.
This Son of Youmzain made a winning start this season when breaking his maiden at Fairyhouse last month. He also has a good fourth to his name from Naas last season in a race that has thrown up plenty of winners. He's a fine stamp of a horse who is on an attractive mark of 116 which should pose no problems for him.
He's unexposed having just the fifth start of his life here and his fourth over hurdles. He has bags of improvement left in him and at a big galloping track like Navan, I'm hopefully he can acquit himself well and get himself involved at the business end of the contest. He rates a very good each way bet.
