This horse went off favourite for a hotly contested handicap chaser at Leopardstown over Christmas over three miles where he raced very keenly before paying for that late on when he was running on fumes turning for home. Dropping back to a much shorter trip here on slow ground I think will suit them. I can see Sam Ewing bouncing out and making plenty use of his jumping. He could be very hard to pass in the finish and hopefully he will acquit himself well.

This horse went off a well punted favourite at Limerick over Christmas when he was found just one too good. That was in a novice handicap chase where he was 14 lengths clear of the third. He should take this step up in trip in his stride and this slower ground will be right up his street having previously won on Heavy. I believe he is still on a workable mark of 104 and should go close here.

This is a really unexposed horse with just five lifetime starts to his name. He has some brilliant form in maiden hurdles last season and while he has been disappointing to an extent on his two starts so far this season. I feel today could be the day where we see some market support and a much-improved performance. He finally gets back on some slow ground that he acted so well on last season and the handicapper has dropped him 3lbs and with the added bonus of Cian Cullinans 4lb claim, I can't see him being far away.
