This horse is incredibly well treated in this race when you look at the horses he's been competing against in his chase starts to date Il Etait Temps, Marine National, Tactical Move to name just three.
He made his return at Naas last time when he was well punter to beat Farren Glory but got out sprinted on the run in that day. With a run under his belt now and stepping up in trip I think he will be incredibly hard to beat here against vastly inferior rivals compared to those he's used to taking on. An added bonus is the fact he's receiving 4lbs from his main market rivals.
This horse is bidding for a hat-trick of victory's here having won his last hurdles start off a mark of 88 over course and distance before making a winning chase debut at Tramore last time. He runs here off a mark of 96 but he has the bonus of having Josh Williamson on his back claiming a valuable 7lbs which in theory at least leave him just 1lb higher than his course and distance winning mark and the second that day has come out and won since.
He's clearly in the form of his life and in what looks a weak race he should take plenty of beating. I'm hopeful of a big run.
This mare has always had a lofty reputation even if we are yet to see her produce it on the track. I really liked her chase debut at Tipperary last time when she was ridden quietly to give her a nice first experience over fences. She jumped and travelled well in fourth that day before staying on the nab third after the last.
The form of that race has been franked in no uncertain terms since with the winner Only By Night bolting up last Sunday at Cork. That looks like it was a warm race and while she's up against it here the market is showing her no respect. I could easily see her making the frame at a big price again and I think she's a cracking each way bet. Write her off at your peril.
