Fairyhouse – BRAVE FORTUNE

This son of Soldier Of Fortune is a four-year-old maiden point to point winner and after a number of good runs over hurdles, he's broke his maiden on the track last time when an impressive winner of a maiden hurdle at Clonmel. He's got an opening mark of 116 which to me looks lenient when you look at the form he has with the likes of Chosen Witness, Touch Me Not and Nas Na Roigh to name just a few.

He seems really at home over two and a half miles, he's a strong traveller and he jumps well. He's still unexposed and improving. By the end of the season, he will leave this 116 rating well behind him.

BET NOW

This is a lightly raced eight-year-old who is yet to win over hurdles but has performed admirably in all his career starts to date never running a bad race. While he's yet to win over hurdles he was an impressive winner on chase debut last season and achieved a rating of 130 in that sphere which he's already proven to be fair when tested in handicap company at Kilbeggan in May where he was beaten less than three lengths.

He races here off a much lower hurdles mark of 113 and if he's wound up and ready to go, which I suspect he may well be and off that kind of mark, he should be able to make his presence felt in what is a competitive race. Finger crossed for a big run.

Fairyhouse – ANSWER TO KAYF

This eight-year-old son of Kayf Tara is a horse that I have absolutely adored since he first caught my eye winning a maiden hurdle at Limerick in October of last year. Since then, this big imposing gelding has done nothing but improve with every run and over a variety of trips and on different ground. He has plenty natural pace, and he stays well and always looks like he would improve for a fence.

While this race is a beginners chase on paper it is a deep contest with a plethora of horses that will be competing in graded races throughout the season. On ratings he has a bit to find with what will be a short, priced favourite in Impaire Et Passe but as an each way bet he rates as a strong one and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can do this season.
