Kinross is a Group One winner, running in a Group Three. Due to run in the Group One Queen Elizabeth at Royal Ascot last week, he arrives here on seasonal debut, but he should have too much class for these. He has been beaten a neck and half a length in two Group One’s on his last two starts. Before that he won the Group Two City Of York, in the process beating the Group One Lockinge winner, Audience.

He’s a Group One Champion Sprint winner, a Group Two Lennox winner, third in a Breeders Cup Mile, a Group One Foret winner, to name a few more. All said and done, if he’s ready to roll for his in-form yard, and the track doesn’t inconvenience, he should win this cosily on form.

Fresh from a Royal Ascot winner, Sir Mark Prescott sends this six-time winner to back up six days on from another easy win. He gets a five pound for that two-mile-two Pontefract win. He fairly bolted up there and gets the services of Hollie Doyle who rides the track well and won this race on the mighty Trushan a few years back.

He looks well handicapped off this low weight.

Having good form at the track but running over shorter and not having the pace to challenge, could see him overlooked in the market. He ran an eye-catching race last season in the Plate consolation race, The Northumberland Vase. He was held up and made good headway to stay on over the trip, beaten a length in third. That was off six pound higher, and he’s back for another stab at it.

He now comes in here off four runs this year, this first at the track over a distance to short, as with the other three runs, but the last day he was slowly away and made up plenty of ground. Back to this trip should suit him well, at a track he’s ran well at in the past. His yard is in good form too, with six winners in the last fortnight. Each-way play of the day.
