Having already beaten the likes of Big Rock, she comes here with plenty of Group One form to her name. She gave three pounds to Big Rock when beating him in the big Group One in France, and now receives three pound this time around.

Big Rock franked the form in no uncertain terms last season, and with her yard going well, on these terms she should be hard to beat, providing the rain stays away.

NEXT BEST:

Newbury – GOODWINSON

The lightly raced Goodwinson, comes here on the back of a huge effort when runner-up in the Spring Cup over the course and distance. He’s been nudged up four pounds for the effort but was the eye-catcher from the race having made up plenty of ground and looking like the winner, only for the line to come too soon.

He was heavily backed that day and should take some stopping in this.

LONG SHOT:

Newbury – ELITE STATUS

view details

The colt started out on debut last year with a hugely promising effort, to win easily at Doncaster by over three lengths. Meaning he was sent off the 5-2 favourite for the Listed National Stakes at Sandown. He bolted up in that by a ready five lengths. He was third in the Group Two Norfolk stakes at Royal Ascot, before then winning a Group Three in France.

He then contested a hot Group One Prix Morny, won by Vandeek, who then followed up winning the Group One Middle Park.

Elite Status ended his season in that race also but was beaten nine lengths, but the horse who finished behind him in both Group One’s has come out and won a Group Three at Ascot last week.

He’s better than this Listed Class if showing form of last season, and he handles most ground.
