Vandeek carried all before him last season to remain unbeaten. Four from four going into this, I think he can maintain that 100% strike rate. A winner on soft, good to soft, very soft and good to firm, shows his talent. Mixed in that one of those was a Group Two, with the latter two runs both Group One’s.
He should take this on to bigger targets in the season. An exciting prospect.
Having travelled like one of the best in the English 2,000 Guineas, Rosallion comes here seeking top honours in a classic, having bumped into one at Newmarket. He’s already a Grade One winner, beating the re-opposing Unquestionable in France the back of last season on Arc Day.
He’s a worthy favourite to make amends here, against his stablemate who he beat in the English Guineas, and three O’Brien inmates, all who have yet to race this season.
Only had two runs, but the last of those was over this trip and grade. She was repeatedly denied a clear. Although she hasn’t got the rating of the rest of the field, she hasn’t had opportunity to show it. Having won easily on debut at this course too, I think she could be a lovely outsider.
