Racing Lee’s Saturday Racing Tips at Ascot and Redcar
Something’s clicked this season, and he’s returned better than ever. He bolted up last time out beating Al Qareem, who re-opposes and has franked the form by winning last time out. Hamish is a live danger on conditions, he went close in a Group One three runs back but has disappointed since.
Al Aasy bolted up on his only run on soft and has won on good to soft too. He’s a multiple Group Three winner and comes here on a high.
He won at Ascot last time out, and loves the mud, so the more rain the better for him. He’s a four-time winner, including at this Listed level, and ran well to a point behind Charyn on seasonal debut. Charyn is now a multiple Group One winner. He can land this for back-to-back wins.
It’s last chance saloon for the selection, but there has been glimmers of hope that he has the talent to win this. He bolted up on debut at Salisbury, before running less than two lengths fourth in the Group Two Robert Papin at Chantilly. That form has worked out fairly well, as has the big sales race in which he was a closing three lengths sixth of 20.
He looks quick, and six furlongs is his bag for now, he has that added bonus of running well on good to soft. He’s worth a small each-way play in a wide-open race.
