Racing Lee’s King George Day Tips
The Aussie mare Asfoora has a solid chance of another British win after winning the King’s Stand at Royal Ascot. She already has the beating of Big Evs and Believing on that running.
She showed a great turn of foot that day, and hopefully can repeat that here.
Kept on the same mark as his latest run, he comes here with a solid form chance. He’s a four-time winner, including when bolting up two starts back. His mark continues to creep as a consequence, but his latest York run showed this mark won’t be beyond him.
He stays the trip fine after showing his worth over this marathon in the Ascot Stakes at the Royal Meeting. Solid contender.
Drops back to a mile having contested the Eclipse at Sandown. He comes back in grade, having been second on seasonal return, beaten a half a length in a Grade One in France. He was then sixth in the Derby, not seeing out the trip, and off the Eclipse run a return to the mile looks a good move.
He’s now in a Grade Three after three Grade One runs, so that will ease to burden too.
