Racing Lee's Cheltenham Festival Day 2 Tips
He’s a stand out on day two, and this warm order can hopefully show the rest his engine and win this easily. He has the beating of Jonbon by his seven length victory in last seasons Arkle. He has bolted up last time out, giving weight to Mares Chase favourite, Dinoblue. He was eased by eight and a half lengths then, and jumped a lot better than some of his preview runs, but ultimately showing that huge engine he has to put his rivals away.
I think the same will be in the this race and will have too much gears for the likes of Jonbon and Edwardstone.
Double him up with Ballyburn!
I think this former Gold Cup winner can take this after a pleasing debut on the Cross Country course. Three years back he won a Gold Cup, and two years back he was runner-up to run away winner, A Plus Tard. He reappeared on seasonal debut winning a Grade Three, with the likes of Delta Work and Conflated well beat. He then ran fourth of four in a warm Grade One, before he tried the course for the first time. He travelled like a dream that day carrying too weight of 12 stone. He was only beaten just over five lengths, giving lumps of weight to the three ahead.
He’s a classy sort, and now this is level weights, he should be tough to beat.
An easy debut win seen him carry a penalty in his second bumper run, but that showed to be no obstacle, as he took a listed race easily. He was pitched into a hot Grade Two bumper last time out at the Dublin Racing Festival. He travelled well, but got into traffic problems off the final bend, losing at least five lengths in the process and almost clipping heels. He stumbled, but recovered to stay on eye-catching to run on for fourth. The winner of that race is injured and out for the season. He was only around two-and-a-half lengths off the second, You Oughta Know, who also comes here with a live chance.
I think he can turn the tables and run a lot closer to the runner-up that day, he’s over-priced.
