Raceolly's St Leger Doncaster Cup Day Tips
Rebel Path has dropped 15lb this season and has run some promising races in some big field handicaps. They have had some excuses lately including getting restless at the start and blowing his chance at Haydock and failing to settle over six furlongs at Yarmouth.
Form with Group One horses when trained in France including beating 113 rated Malavath. This test should suit and clearly well handicapped when things fall right.
Citizen General won eased down off a mark of 89 by over four lengths at Kempton back at the start of the year and has only run twice since. The last time at Chester is one to forgive after being trapped wide and never having a chance thereafter and been well rested with a 126-day break since then.
They come here fresh for a yard that’s done well at the track this season.
Equalised is a very interesting runner in this off a feather weight for a top yard. Ran a race full of promise at Kempton when last turning in and finishing strongly for fourth. Was another not given a chance at Chester last time drawn wide in a six-furlong sprint and never able to get involved.
That Kempton effort makes him look very well handicapped here however (front three rated 105, 99 and 86) and the horse in behind also won since and now rated 72. Could be plenty more to come now handicapping.
