Master Builder will be a very interesting runner if he were to take his chance here. The form of his maiden win has worked out well and his run at Kempton last time was a solid effort more so that he clearly struggled to get through the gears on the slow/standard surface.
It’s a worry that the yard thinks the better ground wouldn’t suit but 85 looks a very workable mark on handicap debut.
Yashin returns to the Ebor this year off the same mark as last year where he finished seventh beaten by three lengths. He met some trouble in that race and didn’t get the best trip around and went to compete at the top level again since that run until well fancied in the Northumberland plate last time out at Newcastle where the surface and a possible wind issue found him out.
Had a wind op soon after that run and this his first outing since that and Oisin Orr a very good booking.
A risk is taking that Harry Three has come to the boil again nicely for this after returning from a long break three starts back at Salisbury. He’s been very well fancied in listed races and the ultra-competitive Wokingham this term, but things have failed to click.
Was thought good enough to compete at Group One level last year after winning three times in a row including over course and distance where he blew apart a very decent field off this handicap mark.
