Teenage forward Rayan Kolli scored twice as QPR beat Norwich 3-0 to finally get their first home win of the season and climb out of the Championship relegation zone. Jimmy Dunne gave Rangers the lead before 19-year-old Kolli notched his first senior goals to seal an excellent victory at Loftus Road.

The R’s have now gone four matches without defeat and three without conceding a goal. But head coach Marti Cifuentes is eager to ensure his side don’t drop their standards ahead of a pivotal showdown against fellow scrappers Oxford.

Cifuentes said, “Today we capitalised on our chances and were really good in key moments of the game. Today we are very happy, but we need to be aware that on Wednesday we have an important game. Enjoy tonight, but then tomorrow we go again and make sure that we are ready for Wednesday.”

QPR finally bagged their first home success of the season on Saturday, but the R’s have almost always managed to get on the scoresheet at Loftus Road. Despite the struggles, only high-flying Sunderland have departed W12 with a clean sheet against Rangers and visitors Oxford arrive in West London without an away shutout since promotion.

Despite plundering three goals at the weekend, QPR continued their theme for featuring in relatively low-scoring contests showdowns under Marti Cifuentes’ watch. The Spaniard has now overseen 51 league fixtures in-charge of the R’s with just two of those tussles breaking the Over 4.5 Goals barrier, 43 of which featured Under 3.5 Goals.

Corners have often been king for QPR at Loftus Road. Rangers have forced five corners or more in eight of their 10 home Championship clashes, winning at least seven in exactly half of those league dates. The Super Hoops have taken 4+ corners in 14 of their overall 19 league dates, whilst Oxford have faced five or more in eight out of eight.
