QPR boss Marti Cifuentes took encouragement from QPR’s goalless draw at Watford last weekend. Coming after the 2-0 win at Cardiff, the result at Vicarage Road made it four points and back-to-back clean sheets on the road for the R’s – though the Spaniard warned Rangers they must be ready for the start a crucial stage of the campaign.

Speaking post-Watford, Cifuentes said: “It was a good week for us. It could and should have been even better, but we need to keep competing and getting as many points as we can because there’s still a long way to go. We now face the most important (period). It will define a big part of where we are at the end of the season.”

QPR welcome Norwich to Loftus Road on Saturday with Rangers hoping to have Jack Colback available again in the coming week(s) though Ilias Chair, Jake Clarke-Salter and Michael Frey are not due back until closer to Christmas.
