QPR’s seven-game unbeaten streak came to an abrupt end at Swansea on Boxing Day. Rangers shipped all three goals in a comprehensive 3-0 defeat during a dreadful first-half, though the R’s were dealt a major blow pre-match with Liam Morrison joining fellow centre-back Steve Cook on the sidelines, forcing a significant defensive reshuffle.

Jake Clarke-Salter and Morgan Fox returned from their own injuries to form the centre-half pairing in South Wales and struggled. The duo will each be called upon for Sunday’s tricky trip to Norwich with head coach Marti Cifuentes now likely to shake the side up elsewhere. Michael Frey, Ilias Chair and Harrison Ashby in-line for recalls.

Cifuentes was eager to move on from the Swansea mauling, saying post-match: “Our first half was very poor, and we weren’t at the level we were in our last few games. We gave them too many opportunities. We have to move on now. I prefer to lose one game 3-0 than three games 1-0 and so hopefully today is just a bad game.”
