Irish NH Tips Sussex Stakes Day
This horse took a huge step forward from first to second start this season and was just narrowly touched off by Rosallion at Ascot in June. I think the selection has more improvement left in him than the favourite and can see him reversing the form here.
Goodwood appeals to be as a track that will suit him well and the ground shouldn't be an issue. I firmly believe there isn't much between a number of the three-year-old's and the mile division is no different. Woth that in mind the 4/1 and 7/2 about is way too big in my opinion and I'll happily have him on side.
This talented son of Mehmas is two out of three in his career so far tasting defeat just the once at Ascot in the Norfolk when beaten just a length and a half in a race that has been working out well with the fourth from that race running out a good winner of the July Stakes Group Two at Newmarket a couple of weeks ago.
Hopefully, he can put his big race experience to good use here and in my opinion a reproduction of his Ascot run will be enough to see him home in front here.
This horse is a very consistent individual who rarely runs a bad race. He ran here over course and distance three starts back when he finished third. The second that day has won his next two starts including a handicap romp off 91 which saw him raised 9lbs in the weights and followed it up in a Listed race.
That's a very decent level of form and if Blue Prince can replicate his course and distance run here, he's well capable of getting involved and at a big price he's well worth an each way bet.
