This filly has been in scintillating form all season. She was a force to be reckoned with at two and progressed really well to three. She has only tasted defeat once this season when going down by a neck in the 1000 Guineas and Newmarket before getting the better of Opera Singer in the Coronation at Royal Ascot and backing up that run last time when running out an easy winner of the Falmouth.
She's a class above her rivals here and after a mid-season break, I suspect she will be primed for this before a return to the Breeders Cup where she was narrowly denied last year.
This son of Churchill has gone from strength to strength since returning to the flat on the back of a few spins over hurdles in the spring. He was a good winner at Gowran Park before very nearly stealing a race from the front in the Curragh when Jan Brueghel just got to him in the dying strides and most recently, he ran Continuous to half a length again over ten furlongs at the Curragh.
The step up in trip here to a mile and a half shouldn't be a problem to him and I hope they give him a positive ride in a race that is there for the taking. If he can dictate a steady pace and quicken from the front, he won't be for catching as I believe as long as they don't complicate things he's the most talented horse in this race.
This son of Pivotal has only won on one of his 11 starts for Johnny Murtagh and that came over a mile at the Curragh back in May of 2023 when narrowly touching off the prolific Dunum off a mark of 87. He finds himself on a mark of 95 now through his sheer consistency over a variety of trips but he really seems to be a seven-furlong specialist now and this race should be right up his street. He's got a lovely draw in stall seven at a track where he won't to be too far off the pace and favours the prominent racers.
He's currently a double figure price and I think he's sure to make the frame and with a little luck he has plenty ability and could very well get the job done. He's worth a few quid each way or if you're that way inclined, a place only bet wouldn't be a bad call.
