Irish NH Tips Goodwood Ladies’ Day

This horse made a very taking debut in a Curragh maiden back in May when he bolted up by no less than eight lengths from an 87 rated rival who had plenty of experience over him. He followed up next time in the Group Three International Stakes against older rivals a race that was run at a sedate gallop and the pacemaker kicked off the home bend and got everything in trouble. Victory looked beyond him before really flying late to take the lead in the dying strides.

He will have learned plenty that day and a reproduction of that run should be good enough to take the spoils here.

This horse was a Group One winner at two and she has applied herself admirably in Group One company this season over a mile in the Irish Guineas before running a very good second in the Coronation at Ascot. That race was run at a pretty sedate gallop, and she was beaten by a speedier filly on the day who has since backed up that form in the Group One Falmouth at Newmarket, so the form is strong.

This step up in trip should be right up her street and I expect with her getting 8lbs weight for age from her nearest market rival I think she will be very difficult to beat.

This horse may only have one win to his name in nine starts, that coming in a Novice at Windsor last season but he's a really consistent individual in pattern races and handicaps at five and six furlongs. I think he’s probably best suited by a strongly run five furlongs and that's what he got at Royal Ascot when beaten just over two lengths.

He comes here on the back of a month off and with that bit of freshness back in him now down to five and from a good draw I expect a bold bid from him here and he should go close.
