Irish NH Tips Goodwood Cup Day

This son of Wootton Bassett is progressing at a rate of knots from being second on seasonal debut at Newmarket he's come on leaps and bounds to hack up at Haydock and was ultra impressive at Ascot last time winning with consummate ease and has earned a go at Group Two level.

He's a young horse on a roll and there's no telling where his ceiling could be and I'm firmly in his camp until it's proven that his progression has come to an end. I expect him to go off favourite and come home in front.

A course and distance winner off 87 this time last season and though two-lbs higher now he has shown a liking for the track, and he ran really well last time at the Curragh in a very valuable handicap.

He's got a lovely racing weight and a nice draw on ground that should be perfect for him. He seems to be hitting form at just the right time and I expect him to make his presence felt here. Hopefully he can get his head in front.

This is a horse I've always been quite fond of as he's a talented grey who is well able for a scrap if that's what's needed. He was a winner last season at Naas off 85 and has run some very good races in defeat so far this season at Cork and more recently off a mark of 96 at York behind a couple of these.

He meets the winner that day on seven-lb better terms here and though the draw hasn't been kind to him he's a horse that has the ability to figure in this and at a bug price he definitely looks an each way bet to me.
