IRISH NH TIP FOR THE GRAND NATIONAL
This is an ultra-consistent mare who has been on the rise over fences since her novice campaign last season. Back then she was primarily campaigned over two and two and a half miles, but this season has seen the tendency to step her up and she has duly improved as her pedigree suggested she would for the extra stamina test. I suppose it's testament to her that she acquitted herself so well even at the minimum trip but now is her time to shine. I have long thought that she has been aimed for this race since getting a sighter in the Troytown back early in the season when she tackled three miles for the only time. She has since gone to Doncaster bolting up in a Listed race before taking the scalp of Dinoblue in the Mares Chase at Cheltenham. She's a progressive mare in rude health and has a beautiful racing weight.
She handles the ground and with untapped potential over staying trips if Cheltenham hasn't taken too much out of her, she appears to me to be incredibly well handicapped. No doubt Gavin Cromwell will have her primed to the minute and with Mark Walsh on board I wouldn't be surprised to see a surge of market support that will see her go off single figures. In Limerick Lace we trust!
