Over the past three seasons this horse has had a prolific strike rate over fences winning nine of hidden 15 starts and placing on three more occasions. He's a real proper Grade Two performer who loves this track and jumps for fun.
Here he may have to give his rivals weight, but they are an inferior bunch of rivals, and his main market rival is an 11year-old now and even with the weight swing he's wrong at the weights with Pic D'ohry. If he's ready to go and he should be on his first start of the season for Paul Nicholls he should be able to dispose of these fairly quickly.
This horse is a course and distance winner from last season off a 3lbs higher mark who was also beaten just three lengths in this race last season. He comes here with a run under his belt which really should have sharpened him up and I'm expecting a bold showing.
The yard is having a really good spell at the moment with plenty winners, and this is another that should be back in the winner's enclosure before too long. He rates as a strong bet, and I expect him to go close.
This horse has four wins and a place from five runs over hurdles last season with his only defeat coming in the Triumph Hurdle at the Cheltenham Festival. That race is working out really well with the juvenile hurdle form from last season really standing up to scrutiny with those who have won since really performing well or even exceeding all expectations when thrown in at the deep end against older horses.
There's huge upside to this lad not just with his age and the level of form he's shown but also the step up in trip should be a positive. He's definitely overpriced, and I fully expect him to rattle a few cages.
