Kalpana has done extremely well this season, but her last two runs were against weak opposition, and it was a Listed and Group Three she won the last two runs. She will need to step it up again, and I think the proven soft ground-lover Quantanamera can run a big race.

She’s got more experience than the favourite having had an extra five runs. And when stepped back to this trip for the first time this season, she bolted up on “very soft” in a Group Two, beating the Gosden’s, Arrest by four easy lengths. She’s worth an each way play on the ground.
