9/1 fourfold on Manchester City vs Newcastle and other FA Cup specials

Wolves come into this Quarter Final clash at Molineux in great form, having won four of their last five matches in all competitions.

Gary O’Neil’s side have in form players all over the pitch and the likes of Pedro Neto and Joao Gomes will fancy their chances against Championship opposition.

Coventry are in good form themselves with six wins from their last nine matches but against Premier League opposition they may find this is a step too far.

Manchester City are still competing on three fronts this season and are looking to repeat the incredible treble feat they pulled off in 2022/23.

Pep Guardiola’s side will be right up for this one and it’s 21 games since the Citizens last failed to score in a match. Against a Newcastle side that is really struggling for consistency, it’s hard to look past a home win.

Newcastle usually find the net themselves, as they did twice when beaten 3-2 by Man City at St James’ Park in January, so we’d expect them to get on the scoresheet but for City to have too much on the day.

11th in the Premier League and with qualification for Europe via their position in the table looking increasingly unlikely, this match is hugely important to Chelsea and their manager Mauricio Pochettino.

After the disappointment of defeat in the League Cup final against Liverpool, the Blues have bounced back with a flurry of goals in their last three games and they should have enough to come out on top against a Leicester City side who will understandably have more than one eye on their Championship promotion ambitions and keeping their lead at the top of the table.

Manchester United have enjoyed a decent start to 2024 and had gone on a run of seven consecutive wins before losing at home to Fulham in February.

Defeat to Manchester City followed and now Erik ten Hag’s side face an uphill struggle to make the top four. The Red Devils will be desperate to get one over their fierce rivals Liverpool and home advantage gives them every chance.

Liverpool though are grinding through the gears and in Jurgen Klopp’s final season in charge, there’s a feeling around the club that they are destined to sign off under the German with more trophies.

Key man Mo Salah has recovered from injury and his recent record against United will be giving their supporters cold sweats. Salah has netted 11 times in his last seven games against Manchester United.
